MINE - Katy Evans

Synopsis
“I will do anything to make her MINE.” —Remington Tate

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington “Remy” Tate as vital as the air he breathes . . . and now he can’t live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman’s dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, Brooke is torn away from the ringside. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE.
MY REVIEW          5 MILLION STARS
Is it okay to highlight and book mark more than half of the book?  I hope so because that is what I did.  This book was AMAZING and I did not think that I could love Remy more, BUT Katy found a way to write about this man and I could not be happier.

This book was PERFECT.  Remy and Brooke are back together and Remy is getting ready for the up coming boxing season.  He is Bigger than ever, more muscle and seems happier now that he has Brooke right by his side. They are making there relationship stronger than ever.  Remy is in a good place so far and is killing at all the underground boxing matches.

Brooke is so in love with Remy and she is very committed to making sure that Remy knows she will not walk away from him and leave him again no matter what.  She knows what it did to her when she left him, but can she handle knowing what may or may not have happened with Remy when she was gone?  All that matters now is her love for him and his love for her.

“I’m in love, and I will be forever changed by this love, by this man.  I used to dream of medals and championships, but now I dream solely of a blue-eyed fighter who one day changed my life, when he put his lips on mine.”
This whole book was an amazing read and it brought out so many emotions in me.  There were times that Brooke really just annoyed me and other times that I just wanted to hug her and tell her he loves you as much as you love him and everything is going to be ok.

What keeps them apart is not what anyone thinks, its good sort of.  But I can say neither one want to be apart, this is hard for the both of them.  Remy  is so protective of Brooke and this time she allows him to be himself whether that is Black Remy or Blue Remy, she loves all of him.  But as he leaves her he tells her...

"You're everything I never knew I wanted."  He tucks back another tendril of hair behind my ear, his eyes a little too brilliant as he draws back.  And all mine, remember that tidbit."

There were several BIG, HUGE moments in this book that brought me to tears, I did not want to go on and I was so worried that it was going to get worse and I would not be able to handle it at all.  Brooke’s support system was not what she should have had with her family, but thank goodness for her crazy friend Mel, she is a nut case and as girls we all have to have one of them for a friend.
They both have grown up in this book and learned to put their feelings out there, trust one another even when you are hurting.   Remy is very needy of Brooke and to always see her, smell her, touch her…you get the picture.  Those two love birds put us all to shame….it’s true, this man and Brooke make us all look bad.

When Remy is Speedy and manic, ready to turn black those are the hard ones, Pete, Coach, Riley, Diane and Brooke are his keepers, They all love him so much and Remy needs to see it for himself.  He needs to feel that he is worthy of love.

There was one pivotal moment that really did break me.  I had my jaw dropped open and I was silently screaming for this NOT to be happening, then I thought wait…they still do this?  It was hard to read and I cannot imagine that the decision to do so was the last option out there, but after getting through it, I knew that it was the right choice.  I was dying a silent death reading it though; no one should ever have to make that choice.  I was proud of Remy though, he made the choice for him, to what was best for him.
"Look at you," I say lovingly in his ear.  I lick the back of his ear softly, like he does to me, running my hands down the length of him, petting him like he like he pets me.  "I love, adore, cherish, need, and want you like I never thought possible to love and adore and cherish and need and want another human being or anything in this world," I whisper.
Finally (not really) but the ending of this book….I was on cloud nine.  I can’t see a better love story and two people that were fine with their lives, but were forever changed that night in The Underground.
I would like to take a moment and just say that after reading the past two books of Katy’s I am very interested in her knowledge of sports rehab and Bipolar disorder.  I know nothing of the matter but your in-depth writing of it had my heart aching in ways I did not know.  Brooke and Remy will always have a special place in my heart.
