Ambrosia

After coming to terms with the tragedy that rocked her world, Scarlett MacGregor has returned to try to pick up the pieces of the broken relationships that she left behind.

Ash and Mason were left devastated and heartbroken following Scarlett’s sudden, unannounced departure. They are both ready and willing to forgive her and welcome her back into their lives with open arms. However, a lot can happen in 8 months…

Scarlett must learn to overcome the obstacles thrown in her path to prevent the past from repeating itself. Can she learn to fly with her own wings and discover the secret to eternal love?

I liked all the characters in this book,  I think they all function very well together.  Scarlett and Mason love each other but in very different ways.  They are still selfish and unwilling to confide to all there feelings to one another, for fear of loosing the other.  It seems they have a co dependency on with one another that they each choose to ignore, Mason with his drugs and Scarlett with using him to keep her safe from Ash.  Scarlett admits that she still loves Ash but she loves Mason and chooses to be with Mason.

They make there relationship work despite the past both wanting to be together.

The mistakes that Scarlett makes when she returns are countless but here are a few...

Honesty.....Really now???  Try talking to Mason, tell him how you feel about Evie, Ash and what make you scared.  How you feel about him and wanting to be with him.

When Mason leaves to go to Austin with his Band you want to go with him but you don't say anything?  Can't you see how much that man loves you?  NO you can't!

Do you trust Mason?  No!  Why?  I'm not even sure about that one.  He really has not given you much reason not to.  He tells you he loves you ALL THE TIME, he took your ass back after you crushed him 8 months ago.  He knows that you still love Ash and you have the nerve to question him!!!

After he situated himself next to me and handed me one of the bottles, I opened my mouth to say something, but my mind drew a blank. I didn’t know how to even start the conversation we so desperately needed to have. We were both looking forward, staring at the blank television screen.
“Do you love him?” Mason asked expressionless, never turning his head.
“Yes.” I admitted.
“Does he want you back?”
“He never had me.”
He snorted and took a long pull from his beer.
“What? What was that for?” I asked.
“He’s always had you, Scarlett. I just had you on loan.”

Ok here is my Spoiler so STOP reading if you have not read the book yet!  STOP right now I am warning you!!!

I get that Scarlett is rebuilding her life (not really) but enough is enough. Scarlett and Mason have bumps in the road while he is away and this is where the shit starts to pisses me off even more.  If you think that something has happened in your relationship that could end it, FIND OUT ALL OF THE FACTS FIRST BEFORE you get drunk and do what you did.

Max?  REALLY!!!!!  UGH!!!!!!!!

Watch your actions closely, what you do has a domino effect on EVERYONE!!!!

Then Scarlett jumps into a relationship with Ash.....COME on.  FINALLY!  It took this long to get here. I love then together.  I really do but at the same time I feel that there is so much that has been left out that could have been added into this book.  I feel cheated that we got more of Scarlett and Mason and not enough of Scarlett and Ash.  There love is undeniable I just want to more read about.  Then just when I think they are going to be together the ending happens........

Don't get me wrong I give this book Four out of Five stars.  I still Loved it.  I hate waiting for the third book but not really.  I love all the characters they truly are a great group of friends that care about one another.  This is just me.....Bitching.

Here are some Facts about the Characters that we love...

Excerpt (Optional)
And then it dawned on me. If Brad wasn’t getting off on my jelly parts, then whose jelly mould was he filling instead?
“Oh. My. God. Who is she?”
Adam had taken a seat on my pastel pink sofa and his eyes were burning into me as I held my breath, waiting for the reply.
“What? What do you mean who is she?”
I snorted a laugh.
“Now who needs to be honest? I’m not an idiot Brad. You’re not fucking me and I know you aren’t self-pleasuring. We both know how you hate the mess and all. So don’t bother pretending like you’re not screwing some skank. I should probably get fucking tested. Do you keep your clothes on with her to avoid all the icky sex sweat too?”
That seemed to just make him angry.
“She is not a skank!”
I knew it! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! Oh the arsehole-ism knows no bounds! Not only was I jilted, dumped and fat, but I was also cheated! Merry Christmas Charlene!
“You dick! You complete and total dick! How long!? Who is she? I have a right to know!”
He sighed deeply in a self-pitying way as though it were hard for him to speak. Pfft. He’d get no sympathy from me. He’d given me a ring and now I would give him the finger. Metaphorically speaking of course.
“Uh, Charlie?”
I turned around and held my hand over the receiver as I snapped at Adam.
“Shhh. Can’t you see I’m in the middle of being crushed? Can’t a girl get dumped in peace anymore?”
He made a gesture as though he were zipping his mouth shut and leaned back in his seat.
“She’s a woman from work. We went out for drinks one evening after work. We were celebrating a huge win on a case. One thing led to another and…”
“And you had a minor memory lapse in which you forgot you were engaged!? You are such an asshole!”
“I never meant for it to happen, Charlene. It just did. I’m sorry and I would have preferred you to have never found out but I couldn’t marry you when I’m in love with Aneska.”
The skank had a name. Aneska. Sounded like some sort of medicinal cream you rubbed on a bad nappy rash or irritation. Right now, that’s exactly what she was. A pain in my arse!
“I hate you. I hate you so fucking much.”
“Please try to understand, Charlene. I’m doing this for both of us.”
I laughed.
“Oh, how silly of me. I should have thanked you for shagging your colleague. It was such a wonderful and sweet gesture for you to make. It’s the best Christmas gift I could ever have asked for. Truly. But next year, I’d love for you to stick your dick in a live plug socket! It’ll leave you just as shocked and burning as I am right now! It would be the best gift ever.”
I cast my eye at Adam who had crossed his legs and cleared his throat a little. He was clearly imaging how that sort of connection might feel. Shame Brad couldn’t have done the same. If he’d have kept his fucking legs crossed, I wouldn’t currently want to hack his dick off with a rusty kitchen knife. Meat and two veg, coming right up!

Alex spun around to see that she was standing in the doorway to the bedroom, slowly advancing in. He watched as she reached to her side and slowly pulled down the concealed zip in her white dress. He swallowed hard.

“What are you doing?”

“Isn’t it obvious?” she replied as she let the dress fall to her feet and she stepped away from it, now clad only in a sheer flesh-tone thong. She reached up to unclasp her hair and Alex’s eyes were drawn to the way this movement raised her breasts. God, he had forgotten just how beautiful she was.

He watched as she let her blonde curls fall around her shoulders and she combed her fingers through her hair. Her eyes, Alex could see, were riveted to his cock and the erection that was growing fast.

“How do you want me?” Tamara asked her voice husky and something in Alex snapped."

Fallen Crest Family

FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS....

Samantha and Mason are together. Everyone knows it. Not everyone is dealing with it. While Mason’s ready to give them the middle finger, there’s one not going away. Her mother. Threats are issued. Ultimatums are given. Even blackmail is used, but only Samantha can put a stop to Analise. However, when a trauma from her past is triggered, she may not have the courage or strength to do what’s needed. If she doesn’t, Mason’s future could be destroyed.

Wow!  This book delivered just as much drama as the first one.  We pick up two months after Fallen Crest High and Logan, Mason and Sam are still tightly woven.  Sam and Masons relationship is still going strong and no one can bring them down.  There parents do not approve of there relationship and yet they don't care.  Now that everyone knows of Sam's and mason relationship she is a bigger target.

Sam is trying to find her way in all this mess she is still silent, does not stick up for her self and uses running as her means of self preservation.  Mason is so in love with her and worries about her as Sam's life becomes more complicated due to her mother.   Her mother really tries to pull the two of them apart at any cost.  I can't tell you what it is but you are going to go bat shit crazy when you find out.

Analise is one CRAZY bitch, really crazy.  I had no idea that she was that fucked up.  If I had her for a mother I would have run away years ago.  I was glad to get more insight on Sam's history with Analise,  there were a lot of surprises.  I have no idea why Sam put up with so much shit her mother threw at her, there are some really BIG secrets that come to light.

I just don't get why Sam keeps her mouth shut.  I want her to scream it from the top of the mountain that her mother is a fucking bitch and air the dirty laundry that she keeps hidden.  Everyone expect Mason, Logan and even Nate have her back.  Sam gets a job and her boss becomes her friend not because of her connection to Mason Kade, but because she likes her attitude.   They had there own connection and understood one another.  Heather respected Sam and her relationship with Mason.

Her hand fell from her hip again and her shoulders dropped.  "I'm sorry.  I was being a bitch."  She chewed on her lip for a second before she gave me a sheepish grin.  " I kind of think I'm in love with you myself.  I get it now.  I see why those two care so much about you."  Her eyes twinkled in humor.  "If I were a lesbian, I'd want you as my girlfriend.  I have a straight boner for you, Sam.  Hot damn."

Sam is struggling to protect Mason from her mother.  They have been pushed into a corner that they are struggling to get out of.  No one can know what Analise is threatening Sam with.  As the families come together again more secrets come to light and Analise is always at the center of them holding Sam's life in her hands, she is a fucking sad excuse for a mother.  It is up to Sam to put this family back together the best she can.  She will do anything for Mason.

This is one of my favorite series and I can NOT wait for the third book.  I knew there would be another one and I am prepared to wait..........

Watch Over Me

Addison Snow is your typical teenager. She has a family that loves her, friends that make her laugh, and she's wrapped up in the excitement of graduating high school and going off to college to pursue her dream of becoming an author. When her mother, who also happens to be Addison's best friend, dies unexpectedly, her world comes to a crashing halt.

Death changes everyone...

To make the pain go away, Addison and her father travel down separate, dark paths. She chooses to end her grief forever, while he drowns his sorrows in the bottom of a bottle. How do you learn to live again when the most important person in your life is gone?

Addison struggles to pick up the pieces of her life. Instead of getting back to being the carefree teenager she once was, she's stuck handling all of the responsibilities that should have been her father's. She has no time to grieve, no time for emotions, and no time for happiness...until Zander Reinhardt walks in. All it takes is one little handwritten note on a napkin to kick-start her back to life and help her realize that maybe there's more to that life than pain.

But can it really be that simple? Can she really trust this man who makes her feel alive again for the first time in a year?

Addison and Zander both have secrets they aren't ready to share. When the truth finally comes out, is it enough to tear them apart or has something bigger than themselves always been watching over them, pushing them together, making sure they both get their happily ever after?

They say time heals all wounds.

I am in a different thought process after reading this book.  I am blown away and having such a hard time trying to find my words,  Anyone who has ever lost a loved one might relate to this book.

Addison is barely able to hold on to her sanity as she copes with the loss of her mother.  To make matters worse for her she is only nineteen, and is now having to deal with her father that has become an alcholic after losing his wife.  The loss is too much for her to bare, she just wants it all to end.   She is now responsible for so much at her young age, having to keep her mothers bakery from going under and paying bills.  How do you keep living when you've lost your mother who was also your best friend?

"I can't do this without you.  I hate that your not here.  I hate it so much".

Zander a handsome young man, has become a regular customer at her bakery. He finds himself  "watching over her" as she works.  He leaves her notes on napkins, just like her mother did when she was alive.  Over time Zander begins to break the walls that Addison has built around her to save her from herself.

I could not imagian losing a loved one especially at such a young age, let alone all the adult responsibilites that Addison endured.  This is different than anything I have read and am very pleased with how Tara wrote this book.   What captured me the most is her ability to write this as if anyone reading the book was right there walking in Addison's shoes.  The journey that she embarks on is painful and heartfelt and left me coping with my own emotions, as I imagined what if this happened to me?

Spring Training

He’s got his eye on the ball, but his sights are set on her.

For baseball superstar Garrett Donovan, his contract with the New York Empire baseball team meant he’d finally have the means to secure a future for his family. He should focus on that…not on the sassy, beautiful Jessa Montgomery — or what she looks like naked. Getting involved with the daughter of the Empire’s owner would be career suicide. Jessa is a distraction he can’t afford.

Her father had warned her never to get involved with his athletes, so his request that she keep an eye on his new star player came straight out of left field. The last thing Jessa needs is another spoiled, egotistical ball player to deal with. But Garrett is none of those things. His no-nonsense attitude and smooth Southern charm make her blood burn and her knees weak. Giving into temptation, she is consumed by the pleasure she finds in Garrett’s arms.

Jessa wants to protect his career. Garrett won’t let anything get in the way of their passion.

A passion that could cost him everything.

Strawberries.
You’re such a dumbass.
What the hell was he thinking? If there was one thing every baseball player knew, it was that you didn’t fuck with the owner’s daughter. Ever.
And there he was … talking goddamned condoms and telling her she’d made him hungry.
Jesus Christ.
Garrett scrubbed his hand down his face. He’d heard about the beautiful Jessa Montgomery. From what he’d seen just now, she’d earned every ounce of praise. She was a total knockout. Her hair was a gorgeous shade of blonde and copper, long enough to drape over her breasts. Breasts that weren’t overly large, but perfect to fill his hands.
And her eyes. Garrett bit back a moan. Her eyes were mesmerizing. Not quite blue, not quite green.
But when she started rattling off stats with that voice as smooth as honey, sweet mercy, he’d gone rock hard. Which was damned uncomfortable when his junk was crammed into a protective cup.
Not even his mother could rattle off stats like that and know what they meant. The fact that Jessa understood the game he loved? Fucking. Sexy.
Garrett reached down to adjust himself, hoping to get some relief from the pinch currently nagging his balls.
Two weeks. He’d better chill the fuck out if he was going to survive two weeks with Jessa. Garrett respected the hell out of TJ Montgomery. It was rare for TJ to take a personal interest to the extent he had with him. He still hadn’t figured that one out, but Garrett liked the man. And he needed this job. He had his mom and Leah to worry about. And now little Georgia Grace.
His dad had died years ago, and now that his brother-in-law was gone, Garrett was all they had. The family farm in Mississippi had been his parents’ dream, and Garrett worked hard to make sure it would continue to provide for them. But there was only so much he could do by himself.
Baseball was his ticket to securing a future for his family. He couldn’t afford to screw that up. He had no business thinking about strawberries and wondering if Jessa’s nipples would taste the same as she smelled.
Shit.
Garrett made his way onto the field. He didn’t know what she was getting all bent out of shape about anyway. Even being a few hours later than he’d scheduled, he was still two days early for team practice. If anything, he should be offended about the crack she’d made about him wearing protection. As if he was some kind of man whore.
Ah, if only he’d had that kind of time to waste.
He scanned the growing crowd. He smiled and waved to the fans calling his name. He took in the excitement like the ground soaked up the sun, giving himself a moment to revel in the fact that he was here. All the years of hard work and sacrifice had finally paid off.
“Hey, Donovan!” Garrett turned to see the batting coach signaling him over. “You planning to stand around all day, or you gonna show these folks whatcha got?”
He caught sight of Jessa, already sitting in the first row with her bare feet propped up on the rail. He couldn’t resist stretching his neck to check out her long, lean legs. He cursed as she eased out of the short-sleeved button down, leaving her in a tight top with tiny straps. He wondered how easily those straps would snap if he wrapped his hands around them and tugged.
As if she sensed him watching, her gaze locked on him. Her smile was almost apologetic. Then she laughed and waved her clipboard — her demand for him to get busy.
“Donovan!”

Garrett grabbed his bat and sighed. It was going to be a very long two weeks.
