Beauty from Surrender

I am so Fucking happy that I finally got read this book.  I was thinking that I would need therapy soon if it did not come out.  This me doing my happy dance.
Anyways, we pick up right where Georgia killed us all.  Laurlyn left Jack Henry and came back to the US.  She is very heart broken and is trying to just keep going om with her life.  She returns back to the recording studio with that asshole Blake Phillips and we get to see just how much of an ass hole he is.  It was one of those moments that you are thinking WTF and then she handles her business....

She finds a gig and starts to make a name for herself.  I LOVE LOVE the stage name that she picked for herself.  It was perfect and heart breaking at the same time.  She goes on the road with her band members for 3 months.

Jack Henry has spent the last 3 months trying to find Laurlyn.  He is very much in love with her and wants her to come back to Australia to become his wife.  The road to finding her is not easy.  He did not know her last name or where she would be in Nashville.  But his determination was well worth the effort.

He comes to her and then......
So he has a month off to get her back.  But as much as they both want it her chance at becoming a music star is right in her hands.  How do you choose?  He wants to be selfish and have her come back. He would never forgive himself if she gave up everything and then regretted it later.  Decisions have to be made.  Can they survive more time apart?

Let me start by saying that this was my favorite out of the two books.  Georgia wrote this so beautifully that I could feel EVERY emotion that was going on.  I am totally Swooning over JH right now.  You could really connect with both JH and L.  The sex in this book was HOTTER than the first one.  Shit they were like rabbits, going at it all the time.  I really enjoyed the dirty talk in the book.  The way that they had fun together.  I think I have a "book boyfriend" forever.  The pace of the book was perfect, it did not seem rushed.

The struggles that they both faced in this book were very realistic.  It was easy to say that this could happen in real life, not some made up fairytale.  I am happy with how Georgia wrote this book and where it ended.  I don't think there was more that she could have given us....Well maybe a little bit more, but then where would that leave us???

Anyways I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

What do you think??

Envisioned

He stepped closer, only a couple of feet away from me. He smelled heavenly, like rain and citrus. “Every night. I've been trying to figure out a way to find you, to save you, and here you are, so close all this time, and I never knew,” he sadly said.
It was my turn to step closer. Tears pooled in my eyes as I said, “I didn't think you existed. I hoped that you did, but I thought I was crazy to believe that I could find you.”
I reached out my hand to touch his face. When I did, a jolt of electricity sparked between us, spreading what felt like burning honey throughout every inch of my body. What was happening to me? Whatever it was, I didn't want it to stop; it was one of those pains that felt amazingly good, almost addictive. Jace's eyes widened as an astonished smile spread across his face. “Unbelievable,” he said as he grabbed a handful of my curls at the back of my head, pulling my face to his to crush his lips to mine.
His kiss was desperate, just like his gaze in my nightmares, only multiplied. I opened his mouth with my tongue, tangling with his as our passion increased. I had never had a kiss come close to this one, and it had just started. He tasted exotic, a subtle sweetness present as he caressed my tongue with his. I clutched his shirt, twisting it in my hands as I tried to pull his body to become one with mine. Heat rushed in-between my thighs and pooled there, sending tendrils of burning warmth up my stomach. I never wanted this to end; the world could stop turning right now, and I would be oblivious, deliriously happy in Jace's lips.

This is my first Blog Tour.  I would like to thank Ena and Fawn for allowing me to be a part of this and I would like to thank the author Nikki Narvaez for writting this book and giving me an ARC to read and review your book.

What I liked about this book.......Girl kicking butt.  You got it.  Brielle De Luca just turned 18 to find out that she is "The One".  You know "The One" who will save the world and possess the ability of all the Elements aka Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.  Yup that's her.

So let's back track a little.  Brielle has been having these nightmares of her and some HOT guy.  Not typical because bad things happen in these dreams.  Fighting other people and the awful feeling that she can't save him.  But why does she have these strong feelings for some one she has never seen before?  Who is he?

Jace Vasquez aka UFC Champion and he possess the Fire Element.  He sees Brielle for the first time and realizes that she is the one in his dreams.  They both meet and realize that they can not stay away from each other.

Brielle is thrown into a world she knows nothing about.  She must learn to control the elements.  Good thing she has people around her to help.  There is also this relationship that moves at lighting speed.   She handles the situation with courage and strength.

I would recommend as a must read book.  The love that Brielle and Jace have for each other is quite intense.  Can't keep your hands off each other type.   The book flows nicely it is easy to stay with the fast pace situations that Brielle faces.  This is an action packed book and I look forward to reading more books in this series.

Taken By Storm

Let me just start off that I am so stinking happy that this book finally came out.  That was a long but WORTH it wait.

Maddie returns to MJ's grandfather's house where her father works.  Maddie is engaged to another man sort of.  She comes back to think about it and decided if she really wants to marry him. She has been gone for over a year.  She was not expecting to deal with MJ or the truth as to why she left him.  Maddie is forced to deal with her feelings for MJ.  She is pulled to him like its her last breath no matter how hard she tries to fight it.  Enzo Rocha reminds her that she is to stay away from MJ or her father will suffer the consequences if she does not comply.  No matter how much she loves MJ and wants a life with him she protects her father the only parent that loves her.

I fell in love with the story of MJ and Maddie.  How can you not. Childhood friends turning into lovers.  Who doesn't like that stuff?   We learn a lot about there childhood and have both POV's from them.  We also get to see Rachel and Merrick, and oh how I love me some Merrick.  We don't get much insight on Merrick and Rachel's relationship but then again the book is not centered around them.  They do however come together to get MJ away from Enzo as soon as possible.  Merrick tells him he did not know about him or he would have come to him sooner.

Enzo Rocha (The Old Man) is a bastard.  That man needs to go down and sleep with the fishes.  The shit that he pulls to keep EVERYONE in the dark is endless.  I mean what the fuck is his problem?  Why does everyone do as he demands?  He is a BASTARD.

So the secret that he is black mailing Maddie with has got to be really big.  So big that he can scare the shit out of Maddie to keep her away from MJ.  He does not love anyone and for some reason his excuse is to make sure that MJ's future is taken care of.  REALLY!!!  Because when we find out the BIG secret and (believe me it was a good one) it makes me wonder what other shenanigans does this asshole have up his sleeve.

MJ dear dear MJ.  This boy has some serious feelings.  Boy can you feel them too.

1. He loves deeply

2. He hates Enzo Rocha (don't we all)

3. He wants to his dad even though he knows that Merrick knows nothing of him

4. He is a fighter.

5. He goes after what he wants

6. He is forgiving

7. Did I mention he is HOT.

MJ tries desperately to get Maddie back.  She is the only person that he loves.  He is angry with her as well he does not know why she left but he knows that it has to be something big for her to have left.  He BEGS her to tell him and she wont.  He is so broken over this.  Then in a heated moment he find her engagement ring and kind of takes it.  He is so over the edge with this, but has hope that she will break off the engagement.   He takes the ring with him to Turtle Tear and she follows him there to get it back.

As they all stay on the Island, MJ is visiting with Merricks sister and her husband.  We find out a lot of secrets as they surface and more people have betrayed Merrick and MJ than we thought.   MJ is fighting to win Maddie back more than ever now.  He will get her back.  He will not fail.

"What did I do wrong?" he whispered.  "What made you leave me?"

She felt the slow burn behind her eyes and couldn't stop it. Tears gathered, blurring her vision.  She blinked hard and his finger traced one down her cheek.

"Tell me," he urged.

The BIG secret was........................What, really noooo I did not see that. Seriously, wait how much more can this situation get screwed up?  There were people involved that I did not think would be involved.

Let's not forget those that knew of this that have betrayed Merrick for MANY MANY years.  Why would they do that?  Is there more to tell or are they just that bad.

I am going to leave you with that and I hope that you buy Kelli's Book because it is that good and if you have not read the other two books in this series then get with the program and read.

Taken (Give & Take, #1)Taken by Kelli Maine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story about Rachel and Merrick.  This book is told in Rachels POV and 2nd person format.  That is something that I don't think may people can do.

Rachel DelSalvo is a developer/designer and turned down a job offer to work for Rocha Enterprises due to family obligations.  She takes care of everyone else and never puts her needs first.  No matter how much she may want something.

Merrick Rocha is the CEO Billionaire that interviews Rachel and falls for her.  Merrick is very misunderstood. He is devastated that Rachel turns down the job.  So, he looks into her life and finds out all about her. Stalks her for a few months, because talking to her is just out of the question.  I swear that man does not think things through.  So after some not so light stalking and finding out all he can about Rachel, He makes his move by meeting her at a club and drugging her.  That is how she is Taken.

Merrick abducts Rachel and takes her to Turtle Tear Island.  He is in love with her and wants her to work for him to restore the Hotel on the Island.  He calls it her home and that the Island is hers.  He say's that she is the one to bring it back to life.  She is the one for the job.  He thinks that by doing this he will be able to have her and that she will forgive him.  Merrick is trying to regain Rachel's trust.  Rachel is drawn to him and is starting to feel like she really cares for him.  The only issue is that he Took her and she can't let that go despite her wanting to be with him.  Throw in some steamy make out scenes and sexual tension that needs to be released.  There was one part in the book that had my mouth drop open.  There I am reading and enjoying my lovely book and then this one sex scene happens and I was thinking, NO WAY DID I JUST READ THAT?  Let me go back and reread it.  There it was.  I thought for sure after that there was no way that anything good can come out of this.  So I kept reading and well I can't tell you any more than that.  You are just going to have to read it for your self and love it like I did.

There is so much more to this book that I fell in love with.  First reading it from Rachel's POV only at first I had a hard time getting into Merricks head.  It did not take long.  I found myself liking him a lot.  He is troubled quite a bit.  There relationship is not an easy one.  Not in the way that most books are where there is a bunch of angst and your stomach is hurting.  She is just trying to get past the feeling that Merrick left her with.  Merrick has some dark secrets that are troubling him.  You know it.  You feel it in the way he talks to Rachel.  The way they fell in love is definitely not conventional but this is there story and I love it.
