Falling to Pieces

Book blurb:
When Teagan Lewis moves from rural Montana to the bright lights of London with her maker Thomas, she expects to live as harmoniously as she has for the last one hundred-fifty years.
Teagan didn’t know she had a heart or soul until she met Marc Romano.
However, it quickly becomes clear that Marc is forbidden fruit. All the signs that he isn’t human were there from the beginning, but she chose to ignore them…to her peril.
Can she simply walk away from this mesmerizing stranger? Or should she risk her immortality to be with the man she has fallen in love with?

This book is about Teagan Lewis, she is 152 years old, and a vampire.  She moves from Montana to London with her maker Thomas who is like a father figure to her.  She is not a typical vampire, she is quite rebellious.  She is resentful that Thomas has moved her to London.

The first night there Teagan leaves the house to "Feed" and comes across a sent so interesting that she follows the man to a bar.  He is very attractive and Teagan is drawn to him for reasons that she cant understand.  He has a sent on him that she has never smelled before.  She's been sheltered and is unaware of other types of creatures around her.

His sent wafted towards  me.  It was like stepping through a sweet, misty fog, as though his scent had taken on a form of it's own, as if I could see it as well as smell it, though it was surely only my own vivid imagination providing the illusion.

Marc is a.......never-mind I am not telling you that (maybe you know the answer).  Marc is......beautiful and he is not human either...forget I said that.  OK, so the man is beautiful and he to is drawn to Teagan.  He cant figure out "what Teagan is".

"What are you?" he whispered into my ear without any warning whatsoever.

They both have this pull and there chemistry is HOT.  Crazy sex with one another and I am completely smitten with Marc.  He is very Alpha but in a controlled manner.  He has a duty to his family and is very torn with his feelings for Teagan.  Did I mention that they have HOT sex?

Lines will be crossed and lies will be told so they can be together.  Or maybe not.......

There are many twists and turns in the book and events that I did not see coming.  There are many players in this book and it is a easy read.  I will be on the look out for the next book.  I enjoyed reading it.  I'll be honest it was not a 5 star read for me.  I rated it 3 stars, maybe it was the day that I read it, I just felt that some things in there were rushed.   I can see that everyone else is rating it 5 stars and I think that is great.

I had this thought on the book so don't kill me for making this connection.
This is what would happen if Bella was a vampire and she met Jacob and there was no Edward.  There I said it.  All you team Jacob fans this is your book.  I never cared for Edward.  I am team Marc.

  1. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing FTP. It was a well balanced review and I'm always grateful. Of course no vampire novelist likes a reference to 'Twilight' whether they liked that novel or not. I will say to readers that if you're looking for Bella in Teagan I don't think you'll find her? Once again thank you for reading. Your review has been shared to my Facebook page.
