He made me fall.
As a celebrity, I lived in the public
eye, but somewhere along the way, I’d lost myself in the spotlight.
Until he found me.
Sam Rivers was a gorgeous, tattooed
stranger who saved my life with nothing more than a simple conversation.
But we were both standing on
that bridge for a reason the night we met. The secrets of our pasts
brought us together—and then tore us apart.
Could we find a reason to hold on as
life constantly pulled us down?
Or maybe there’s only one direction to
go when two people fall in love at rock bottom—up.
MY REVIEW
4 Stars
If it weren’t for my Facebook Friend Jessica (Last name
not included to protect the innocent) I would still be in the dark with this
author. Jessica raved about her book
Fighting Silence, telling all of us how great the book was. Like the follower I am, I bought the book and
devoured it. Then I got the next book
and devoured that. THEN, I bought her
Collision Course series (ULGY CRY) and fell in love with the authors writing.
I read her latest book The Fall Up and again, I found
a book that I could not put down. Aly’s
story of Levee and Sam pulled at my heart and made me believe in true
love. Everything about this story was great.
Levee and Sam meet at a bridge. Both are there for different reasons and yet
both are trying to find solace at the same time. Sam finds this girl captivating; he sees
something in her underneath her wig and sunglasses. He is pulled to her and concerned for her at
the same time. Something about her has him concerned for her safety.
“I’d known from the first moment I laid eyes on her what I was getting
into. I might not have known she was
some super celebrity, but I’d known she was damaged.
Levee is trying to figure out her life. Find silence in her chaotic life. She is about to crash until she meets
Sam. Talking to him helps her; she finds
her silence with him. And trusting him
was easy.
“You’re amazing, Sam. I’m so
fucking sorry that you had to deal with all of that in your past, but I can’t
ask you to potentially deal with my issues in the future. And it hurts because I lied. I more than like you. I hardly know you, but I want to keep
you. Just the way you are. Maybe forever.”
From the start of this book I knew it would be something different. As I read I felt the characters were brought to life and I was watching their story unfold right in front of me. So, go check it out and let me know what you think.

After some encouragement from her friends, Aly decided to
add “Author” to her ever-growing list of job titles. Five books later, she
shows no signs of slowing. So grab a glass of Chardonnay, or a bottle if you’re
hanging out with Aly, and join her aboard the crazy train she calls life.
