I wanted to jump.
He made me fall.

As a celebrity, I lived in the public eye, but somewhere along the way, I’d lost myself in the spotlight.

Until he found me.

Sam Rivers was a gorgeous, tattooed stranger who saved my life with nothing more than a simple conversation.

But we were both standing on that bridge for a reason the night we met. The secrets of our pasts brought us together—and then tore us apart.

Could we find a reason to hold on as life constantly pulled us down?

Or maybe there’s only one direction to go when two people fall in love at rock bottom—up.

My Review

Boom.  I liked this book.  It held my interest and kept me smiling.  Jax suffers from the same fate all the men in his family does...the BOOM!  Poor guy.  One look and that is it.  No more endless women, he is smitten by this women who was rescued from a horrific kidnapping.

I really like Ellie, she was given a lot to take on at the age of nineteen but, she made it through.  She has a daughter and this massive man who keeps calling her 'babe' and is acting like he has some type of claim over her.

"You have a hickey," Kim whispers, covering her mouth while using her free hand to point at my neck.  Looking in the mirror, I take a deep breath and grit my teeth.  Not only do I have a hickey, but I have a huge, dark purple hickey that will likely never go away.

The book held my attention and was easy to read.  I enjoyed the characters who weren't over the top.  They both had some adjustments to get through that were realistic, which made them easy to relate to.

I would rate the book at 3.5 stars.
